In a teaser from last night's Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian told her family that she was considering uterine surgery so she could have a third child safely and naturally after complications from her first two deliveries. "I have to have a surgery on my uterus to kind of repair this hole," she explained in the video. "So they need to like clean that out and then there's like scar tissue. It'd also be a really high-risk pregnancy-just I would be able to get pregnant."
Kardashian did have the surgery, it was revealed in the full episode (via E! Online). But even so, doctors told Kardashian she wouldn't be able to safely carry any more babies. Kardashian had bladder complications after the procedure-so bad that doctors had to put in a catheter so she could pee. That's when she got the news.
"Not only has this been really painful, but now hearing that I can't carry any more kids, it couldn't get any worse," she said on the show. "I mean, f*ck, like I really tried everything and I really want this and it's just not going to happen for me."
After Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint last October, she said she realized she really wanted to bring one more baby into the world. "After what I went through in Paris, the urgency is even greater. I'd just love nothing more than to expand my family and just know that I have this world at home that's safe. And if for some reason I left this earth sooner than I really wanted to, then my kids would have a support system at home so that I know that they would be okay if I wasn't here."
Kardashian is now considering surrogacy. "I'm definitely leaning more toward I want to try," she told her sister Kourtney Kardashian who asked about it. "After talking to Kanye, I think that I always knew that surrogacy was an option, but I didn't think it was that realistic of an option. Now, I feel like that's my reality. I feel like surrogacy really is the only other option for me."
