When hair chameleon Zendaya isn't rocking trendy mullets or modern bowl cuts, she's repping her gorgeous tangle of curls au naturel.

It turns out, Z's glossy, luscious spirals mark a recent change for the star.
"Due to years of abusing my hair with heat, it was pretty damaged and had totally broken off," she revealed on her website this week. "It's taken years of serious love, but my hair has finally started growing back."

So at this point, Z's got a few go-to tricks for reviving her curls. One of her secrets is using both hair products designed for women of color and those made for Caucasian hair.
"I'm constantly trying new products. I've found that using some made specifically for African American hair and then some for Caucasian hair is best for me because using just one or the other never works!"
DevaCurl shampoo for curly hair is her favorite, but she alternates Pantene Truly Relaxed Hair shampoo and conditioner for their hydrating ingredients. Post-shower, Z lathers on KMS Reconstructor, coconut oil, and - because you can never have enough hair hydration - Cantu leave-in cream, which is for textured hair, and Shea Moisture products.

Apart from owning an arsenal of hair treatments, Zendaya stays on top of maintenance - "constantly" getting her ends trimmed to keep her locks healthy.
And now, when she's looking to really change things up, she rocks a wig to prevent her real 'do from getting damaged.

On top of these epic tips, the curly queen has a million other genius hacks for keeping hair happy. Go forth, my friends, and slay like Z.
