Christina, Tarek El Moussa want eighth season of ‘Flip

Their relationship may have flopped, but Tarek and Christina El Moussa still seem intent on constructing a TV empire.
The famous exes — whose divorce has been highly publicized in recent months — are negotiating with HGTV execs to bring an eighth season of their home improvement show "Flip or Flop" to the network, TMZ reported.

The network has spinoffs planned for "Flip or Flop" that won't star Christina or Tarek, but the two stars believe those shows could garner even more attention for their original show, which already rates highly.
They have continued to film episodes for their current show even after breaking up — though Tarek admits it hasn't exactly been an ideal scenario.
"I'm not gonna say it was easy. It's like anything, there's challenges in life," he said on the "Today" show last month. "We love filming, that's our job. We've been doing it a long time, and we love releasing a good product for our fans. Just try to fight through it and do the best we can."
Christina, meanwhile, has downplayed their continuing to work together and said they're just focused on their job.
The reality stars announced they were splitting in December, shortly after reports emerged that police had been called to their home about a potentially suicidal male holding a gun.
The man holding the weapon turned out to be Tarek, and he was remained adamant that he was carrying it to protect himself from animals as he went out for a hike.
Christina was previously romantically linked to their contractor, Gary Anderson, and is reportedly now being connected to NHL star Nate Thompson.
