Faith Harris-Green sat in a wheelchair in a Dearborn Heights
courtroom today with a black veil covering her face as the man accused
of killing her four children and torturing her appeared for a hearing.
Gregory Green, who is charged with four counts of murder in the deaths
of his two children and two stepchildren ages 4-19, remained silent
during the brief proceeding in 20th District Court. He will be examined
to determine whether he is competent to stand trial and to waive his
Miranda rights. He will also be evaluated by a doctor from the Center
for Forensic Psychiatry for criminal responsibility. Prosecutors have
said Green, 49, bound his wife, Harris-Green, slashed her face with a
