The 3 plays in sports everybody will be talking about today
Business Insider 13 hours ago
Good morning! Here are the plays everybody will be talking about
Wednesday. Yasiel Puig is a trickster. Puig thought he had a double
against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday. But then Yasmany Tomas made a great
throw from left field and it looked as if Puig would be thrown out. Or
at least it did until Puig unleashed a bit of razzle-dazzle with his
hands. Puig avoided the tag and got the double anyway. The Diamondbacks
went on to beat the Dodgers, 4-2. Cristiano Ronaldo did it again. Real
Madrid entered the second leg of its two-match quarterfinal against
Wolfsburg in the Champions League trailing 2-0. Ronaldo scored once in
the 16th minute and then again a minute later to take a 2-0 lead in this

Wolfsburg performance not my best game - Ronaldo
Omnisport 19 hours ago
Cristiano Ronaldo rejected suggestions his
performance against Wolfsburg was his best game despite scoring a
hat-trick to send Real Madrid into the Champions League semi-finals.
Ronaldo spectacularly overturned a 2-0 deficit from the first leg in Germany to seal Madrid's progression into the last four with a 3-0 victory on Tuesday.
The Portugal international struck twice in the space of 90 seconds to level the tie just 17 minutes in at the Santiago Bernabeu, and settled matters with a superb chipped free-kick 13 minutes from time.
But asked if it was his best display, Ronaldo told reporters: "Just because I have scored three goals does not mean it's my best game.
"People know that I always give the maximum. The numbers do not lie.
"I will always try to help the team. The goals are in my DNA, but the important thing was the team.
"We knew we had to score three or more goals. It was an intense match, we controlled the game. We were more intense and had more opportunities. We were the better team.
"It was a perfect night. I said it would be a magical night and it was what happened.
"The fans supported us and gave us a lot of strength to win a match that was complicated."
Asked if he would prefer to face Barcelona or Atletico Madrid - who meet in their second-leg clash on Wednesday - in the last four, Ronaldo replied: "It is complicated. Atletico is the better defensive team, difficult to score goals [against].
"Barca is at this time the best team in Europe. Both are very complicated. I would prefer Benfica, a Portuguese team."

Video: Yasiel Puig doing Yasiel Puig things
NBC Sports 18 hours ago
Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig hustled to turn a single into a
double and somehow turned that into a game of Patty Cake with
Diamondbacks second baseman Jean Segura. It started with a line drive
single to left field off of Patrick Corbin in the bottom of the fifth
inning with two outs. As left fielder Yasmany Tomas was shaded towards
left-center, it took him a while to retrieve the ball, so Puig broke for
second. Tomas fired a two-hopper wide of second base, so Segura had to
lunge to corral it. Puig slid in head first, attempting to avoid
Segura’s tag. But Puig slid too far off the bag. He deked with his
right hand to touch the base, forcing Segura to commit with what little
range of motion he ...
