Paul Walker’s Daughter Meadow Continues His Philanthropy

On what would have been his 42nd birthday today, Paul Walker is being honored by his daughter Meadow with the launch of the Paul Walker Foundation, carrying on the late star’s legacy and philanthropic endeavors. The Fast & Furious franchise cornerstone dedicated himself to rescuing animals, saving the oceans, environment conservation and helping first response rescuers. He also quietly started an organization, Reach Out World Wide, to assist in disaster relief efforts around the world, an organization that continues. His daughter wants to continue that work, as she also has a love of ocean and nature. “Reflecting on my father, I found myself connecting with his passions,” she said. “His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people, his passion for spontaneous goodwill. I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with others. I want to share that part of him with the world. I am tremendously proud to be launching the Paul Walker Foundation on his birthday. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate my father than to continue his legacy of helping others.”
Currently the Paul Walker Foundation is working with the Monterey Bay Aquarium, one of Paul’s favorite places, to identify amazing teens that are passionate about the ocean and award them with scholarships. The foundation is also working with the Ocean Futures Society, the foundation set up by Jean Michel Cousteau, a prominent ocean leader and son of the world famous ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau, both of whom Walker respected.
